I first picked up a felting needle and some wool in 2021, driven entirely by the fulfilment of a lifelong dream - to be custodians of a small parcel of land which we are lucky enough to have in the stunning Stewartry area of Galloway. On acquiring four primitive breed sheep, I was determined to find a craft which involved wool, and I discovered my passion. It is an almost magical process, and I had finally found my ’thing’ - Felted Galloway came to life.

I mostly create sculptures of UK wildlife, but also love making human-type figures where the wool often dictates the outcome. I am flattered & delighted to be at this Eden Wool Gathering this year - to support and be a part of a fantastic group for a wonderful cause. And wool should be celebrated as a natural and sustainable fibre with an otherworldly quality.
