Hope Jacare.
Claire Phillips aka Hope Jacare is really excited to be back at Eden Wool Festival for 2026, we had a wonderful time last year.
After studying textiles at GSA I worked in the Orkney Islands before returning to my hometown of Largs. I have been self-employed ever since and focussing on my passion for textiles in recent years. Based in Studio 117 West Kilbride (Craft Town Scotland), I explore texture and colour in felt making and mixed media textiles. By processing fleeces, dyeing and spinning yarn I can have the best of materials available for other makers online and from my studio. Sharing my love of textiles has also led to me teaching regular workshops to those starting out on their own creative journey or refining their practice.
For the last four years my daughter Hope has worked alongside me. Excitingly she is about to open her own studio in Craft Town Scotland. Hope will be bringing her buttons and hand dyed Yarns to Eden Wool Festival again this year.
Looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing our love of textiles at this great event in August.
